Stop the cycle of unpredictable contracts

We need a collective reframe:

Selling is just telling people how to hire you so that you can solve the problems they’ve already told you they have.

Grow your international development consulting practice with a natural, low-pressure system that has proven results even in the current context. Join The Cultivated Pipeline, a 9-week accountability group journey to build a sustainable pipeline through prospect cultivation and authentic relationship-tending. No high-pressure sales—just natural, authentic growth.

Our next cohort begins the first week of June 2026 and will meet at 1pm ET on Mondays for 9 weeks.

The Challenge of Sporadic Workflow

In the global development space, we are experts at solving complex problems, yet we often struggle to maintain a consistent professional pipeline.

You finish a major contract, look up, and realize your upcoming calendar is empty. This leads to a cycle of reactive outreach—applying for every RFP or sending rushed emails that feel transactional. You need a way to maintain visibility without the burnout of traditional hustle culture.

Building a pipeline should feel less like hunting and more like gardening.

The Gardener Must Change

That means you. Get out of your own way.

At Boss Insights, we believe you cannot out-plan burnout, and you cannot earn your rest by working harder. As Whitney often says, the grass won't get greener if the gardener won't change.

The Cultivated Pipeline is the container for that change. We shift the focus from pitching to relationship-driven prospect development. Using the principles of effectuation and discovery, we help you build a trellis for your business that sustains you even when you are at your busiest.

Active Implementation for Lasting Impact

No gatekeeping, no secret solutions, but all the support to keep you focused and moving forward.

  • Network Mapping in Real Time

Instead of a solo brainstorm, we use the cohort to identify adjacent sectors and global development hubs where your specific expertise is in high demand. We help you find the decision-makers hiding in plain sight.

  • Iterative Discovery Feedback

Take the 70/30 Rule out of the classroom. Bring your real-world discovery notes to the weekly meeting to decode client pain points and refine your service offerings based on immediate feedback from the group.

  • Disciplined Pipeline Maintenance

Establish a visibility ritual that survives your busiest weeks. This isn't a one-time setup—it is a 9-week practice of holding space for your future work so that your outreach doesn't stop when your current contract gets intense.

FAQ

  • Who is the ideal participant for this cohort?

This group is designed for independent consultants in the international development and social impact sectors. It is a fit for those who rely on word-of-mouth but want a more reliable way to manage their pipeline without compromising their values or using aggressive tactics.

  • I am a subject matter expert and I dislike traditional sales. Is this for me?

You are in the right place. Most of our members are experts who prefer doing the work over finding it. We reframe business development as a helpful act of problem-solving. We focus on curiosity-led discovery rather than persuasive pitching.

  • Is this a course on cold calling or automated sales scripts?

No. If you are looking for high-volume cold calling or impersonal automated systems, this is not the right fit. We build relationships, not targets. The goal is to create authentic connections and high-value touchpoints that sound like you.

  • How is this different from the Art of Lead Cultivation on-demand course?

The on-demand course provides a great foundation and blueprint. This 9-week accountability group walks the path with you. You get live troubleshooting, peer feedback from other global development professionals, and the structured support needed to actually implement the system into your weekly routine.

  • Does this program help with responding to RFPs?

While we discuss the role of RFPs in the global development landscape, our primary focus is on building a pipeline that reduces your dependence on them. We prioritize direct relationships and discovery calls that often lead to invited proposals rather than open competitive bidding.

  • Can I join if I am still working in a full-time role but planning to pivot to consulting?

Yes. The 9-week structure is an excellent way to map your network and build your professional foundation before you make the leap. It ensures that when you go full-time, your pipeline is already starting to germinate.

  • When will the cohort meet? Do I have to attend every session?

While attendance at every session is not mandatory to enroll, the whole point is to have a set time to hold yourself accountable! To help your scheduling: the 60-minute live accountability sessions will be held on Monday afternoons at 1:00pm ET (13:00, for my European friends). There will be 9 sessions, weekly, beginning on June 1, 2026.
